GoPro + Average Surfer= Good Times

Ever since I was young I've been called a dreamer. I was always dreaming and thinking up ways to get out there, and do what I wanted to do.

Being a dreamer, a thinker or a creative is in my blood, it's my spirit. I've always been driven and told myself I can, rather than I can't.

This is true for me in all aspects of life from my career to my passions. I enjoy trying to achieve and create.

As I mention in the book, creativity is something we all have inside us. It is something that stirs and steeps. And we must let it out in some way, shape or form. Music, writing, taking photographs and making videos are my favorite ways to expel my creative urges.

I made my first attempt at making a surf video when I was 17 years old. Back then, you really had to try hard to create something good. Cameras worthy of riding out in the ocean were few and far between and editing was slow and maticulous.

Things have come a long, long way since then and although editing is still slow and maticulous, taking amazing photos, making amazing videos and liberating our pent up creativity is now easier than ever.

I am stoked to announce that GoPro have kindly welcomed me to their family. I owned the first ever GoPro hero camera back in 2008 and I've had one in my camera bag ever since. The products GoPro offer these days are outstanding and can help anyone with a creative spark inside them to create wonderful images and videos.

The art of creating and capturing incredible moments is fulfilling. I love taking out a GoPro with me into the surf. I keep it stashed in my chest zip and bring it out when needed to capture any special moments.

I love the feeling of anticipation on the drive home while I wait to see if I captured the right moments of beauty in the waves. Once I get home, creativity shines during post production and editing, as I pull out the best from the images and videos. Finally, I get to share the creativity with anyone who cares on social media. I love the whole process.

This morning was a beautiful day at Bolsa Chica State Beach in Huntington Beach. The wind was light and offshore, the swell was up and the sun was out. I pulled out the GoPro and snapped a couple shots. Now the beauty is documented forever.

So get out there and get creative!
